Verneri Valimaa Invited to the U-15 (1993's) US National Team Camp
To be held in Oregon over President’s weekend. January 31, 2008

The US National Team staff, Paul Graefer and Wilmar Cabrera, were present at the Disney Showcase and recommended 3 players from the U-15 Boys Premier Team to the USSF National U-15 head coach, Jim Barlow. Out of the three recommended, Barlow chose Verneri Valimaa to attend the 7 day camp in Oregon, based on his play iat the Disney Showcase. Head WFSC Coach, Carlos Parra, couldn’t be prouder of the team and Verneri. Coach Parra said, "The hard work is paying off and the results are starting to show. This is just the beginning of getting more players involved at the next level, whether it be with the National Team, or higher."

Last year, WFSC U-15 goal keeper, Brian Sylvestre, was selected to USSF U-17 National team and is now in residency at IMG Academy in Bradenton. USSF U-17 Head Coach Wilmar Cabrera and  U-15 Coach Jim Barlow, both stated they liked the attacking style Weston represents. With Dario Redondo and Nick Perea being selected as alternates there are more players on the radar for the U-17 camp later in the year. Great job to everyone, every player on the U-15 Premier team deserves credit, congratulations to everyone.
