Fury Take Six Championships at Region "A" Cup
The WFSC are proud to announce the following teams won FYSA Region A Cup the weekend of March 24/25.
The Fury sent nine teams to the finals and won six Championships including both the U11 & U12 Boys and Girls. WFSC Technical Director Marcelo Neveleff stated " We are truly delighted with this achievement as it shows we are taking the correct developmental steps as a club. We believe the Fury are the first club in Region A history to win all four Championships at the U11 and U12 level. For sure it is the first time since the introduction of the 8v8 format. It shows the value in the clubs programming, philosophy and comittment to making sure its staff adhere to professional standards. All of this in turn directly affects a players development, which above everything else is what counts. We are very proud of this achievement".
The Fury won the U11 Girls and Boys, U12 Girls and Boys along with U15 Nike Girls all won Division I Titles and these teams will now represent Region A at FYSA Presidents Cup during the weekend of April 8th and 9th in Ft Myers. Presidents Cup is the senior competition for U11 and U12 team's in Florida and the Fury will be sending more teams than any other club in the State to this event.
The U13 Nike boys won the Division II Championship qualifying for the Hackworth Davis Cup and the U10 Premier boys who where finalists in the U11 boys bracket have been invited to play in the Hackworth Davis Cup during the weekend of April 29th and 30th in Region C.
The Fury also had two other team make the finals. The U17 Girls Nike -- Div II and U11 Boys Nike Div I Orange final and we congratulate them on a terrific effort.
