WFSC U13 Nike Div II Champion in Region A Cup.

Fury Forward Jon Ibanez had to sit out, due to an injury, for part of the 1st and 2nd half of the championship match against Hollywood Wildcats. The Wildcats took the lead,

1 -0, and the Fury stepped it up with Ibanez returning to the fray despite his injury with with 15 minutes left in the game. With just 10 minutes remaining on the clock Ibanez tied the game for the Fury to take the match into golden goal overtime. Fury Midfielder Fabio Perim and Forward Nathan Cintron went very close to tying the game only to see their close and long range efforts blocked by a determined Hollywood goalkeeper.

Ibanez then produced a superb piece of individual skill in the goal area to secure the championship for the Weston Fury Nike U13 Boys in this hard fought game.

Midfielders Marco Padilla, Matthew Chamberlain, and Jared Gutierrez moved the ball with outstanding passing during the game. Right wing Alvaro Diaz and left wings Conner Dooley and Jason Morozowski created several opportunities with accurate crossings, and forwards Luis Gomez, Scott Kinne, and Allenn Montilla played very aggressively in an attempt to open the scoreboard for the Fury. Andres Agualimpia and Chris Parks displayed very strong defense and great anticipation.

Fury goalkeeper Derek Robbie had a dramatic block on the second half to deny the Wildcats what would have been their second goal of the game.

Weston Fury Coach Julio Avilez strategically called key plays and made timely substitutions, after Hollywood had scored their goal at the very beginning of the first half, which generated the solid defense and persistent attack that led to the victory.
