GENERAL INFORMATION
The Weston Invitational sponsored by
Mercantil Commercebank and presented by
Maroone Toyota is delighted to announce its dates for the 2008 Tournament. Again we anticipate teams from all over Florida, out of the state and international teams.
When; Competition begins Saturday February 16th and concludes on Monday February 18th 2008. It is possible that local teams will be asked to play on Friday 15th. We are also willing to accept requests from teams who wish to play on Friday in an effort to spread out their games but no guarantee can be given. If you are planning on arriving early and wish to train at our facility we will be happy to try and accommodate this. Please contact Alan Foy at 561 483 9631.
Where: The main sites will be
Weston Regional Park and
Vista Park with the additional sites to be advised. Weston Regional Park is one of Florida’s Premier Facilities and has hosted the State Cup Final Four and many regional events. Vista Park was opened for our 2005 Tournament and is a Premier facility with four full size flood light fields
Who: Premier & Classic Division is open to Boys and Girls U9-U18.
Challenge Division is open to boys and Girls U10 -U18
Level of Play:
Premier: U9-U18 Single Age Group Brackets
Teams from across the State are expected to participate making this a highly competitive event at the Premier level.
Classic: U9 -U18 Single Age Group Brackets
The classic division is for competitive Div 1 & Div 2 travel teams. if the number of applications at a certain level allows a classic 1 and 2 may be created to allow appropriate comeptition.
Challenge: U10, U12, U14 U16 & U18
The Challenge Division is for potentially new travel teams, Div 2 travel teams seeking fresh competition and recreational teams
All applications have to be approved by the tournament committee.
How do I register:
All teams must register on line. However, those teams/clubs wishing to pay by check need to make their check payable to Weston Soccer Club and mail to

Please make sure you inform us of which team the check is for when sending it in.
** Please fill in the on line application fully. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
** If you can not pay on line you still have to register on line and then send in your check.
** Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee has been received.
** Any team not accepted will receive a refund.
** Any team, which withdraws after the application deadline of January 6th 2008 will not be eligible for a refund.
ENTRY FEE
$425 for U9 & U10 (playing 6 v 6)
$475 for U11 & U12 (playing 8 v 8)
$575 for U13 and older (playing 11 v 11)
Entry fees received before the deadline date of January 6th 2008 will be discounted by $50.
Tournament Format
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
U9 and U10 teams play 6 a side, and may carry up to 12 players.
U11 and U12 teams play 8 a side and may carry up to 16 players.
U12 to U18 teams play 11 a side, and may carry up to 18 players on their roster.
Guest Players
Up to 4 guest players will be allowed. Guest players are counted in the roster maximum.
During the tournament, a player may play for one team only.
Communications
Each team is required to have an e-mail address and a designated team contact in order to receive all tournament communications. All communication will be carried out via e-mail and the internet.
